5 superfoods we should all be eating!

Bolster your immune system and increase your antioxidant levels by incorporating these foods into your diet.

1. Baby Kale
Milder and more tender than mature varieties, baby leaves are packed with iron and antioxidants as well as vitamins A, C and K. Add them to soups and salads or crisp them up into vegie chips.

2. Freekeh
Freekeh retains more protein and minerals than its mature version, ripe wheat. It is low in carbs and GI but high in fibre and is a hearty addition to soups or vegie burgers.

3. Chia
High in omega-3, these little seeds are perfect for salad, smoothies or tapioca-style desserts as they expand when wet.

4. Pumpkin seeds
Get your immune system ready for the cold with these little gems packed with zinc. For something different, grind them up with garlic, herbs and oil for a salad dressing.

5. Goji
These Himalayan antioxidant-rich treats are a tasty addition to many dishes such as plain yoghurt, salads, cakes, biscuits and slices.
