Barbecuing for a cure

Barbecuing for a cure

Tongs and grills at the ready, host a BarbeCURE for a cure.

To raise funds for life-saving cancer research, this April, Cure Cancer Australia is hosting a BarbeCURE and are encouraging everyone to get involved.

Did you know that less than 1 in 5 projects for cancer research will receive funding? Furthermore, some of Australia’s brightest cancer researchers are heading overseas, due to the lack of funding.

“It is very uncommon not to be touched personally by cancer. Research is the only way forward. Good research ensures we are at the cutting edge to attract the latest drug trials, providing early access for Australians to innovative treatments and that is why it is essential to retain our best and brightest young researchers working here,” Assoc Prof Scott, Head of the Research Committee for Cure Cancer Australia.

So, throughout the month of April, all of Australia is encouraged to host a barbeque to raise funds and awareness for emerging cancer research.

Host one yourself, nominate a barbecue professional and barbecue for a cause.
